Cooking Time 10 minutes
Ingredients
Whole-wheat flour – ½ Kg / 2 ½ cups
Salt – 5 gm / 1 tsp.
Clarified butter – 120 gm / ½ cup
Water – 250 ml / 1 ¼ cups
Mint leaves, dried – 5 gm / 1 tsp.
Method
1. Mix flour, salt and half of clarified butter. Add water and knead to a smooth dough. Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.
2. Shape the dough into a ball. Flatten in to a round disc with a rolling pin. Apply the remaining clarified butter and sprinkle with dried mint leaves.
3. Fold the dough several times into 1 collected strip to make the layers typical of parantha. Separate dough into balls and roll out into 5 “ diameter pancakes.
4. Heat a griddle or tandoori and cook until brown spots appear on both sides.
