Missi Roti
Ingredients
Gram flour – 300 gm / 1 ½ cups
White flour – 100 gm / ½ cup
Green chillies, chopped – 25 gm / 5 tsp.
Ginger, chopped – 25 gm / 5 tsp.
Green coriander, chopped – 25 gm / 5 tsp.
Pomegranate seeds – 20 gm / 4 tsp.
Cumin seeds – 15 gm / 1 Tbsp.
Onion seeds – 25 gm / 5 tsp.
Salt – 10 gm / 2 tsp.
Butter – 100 gm / ½ cup
Clarified butter – 30 gm / 2 Tbsp.
Method
1. Chop green chillies, ginger and coriander finely.
2. Crush pomegranate, cumin and onion seeds with a rolling pin.
3. Mix all ingredients except butter. Knead to a soft dough with water.
4. Shape into balls and roll out into 6” diameter pancakes.
5. Cook on a griddle or in a tandoor until brown.
6. Remove from oven/heat, apply butter and serve hot.
